  2. Digital games going cheaper Ryse is first

Microsoft are planning better deals on the digital version of games first up is Ryse which will see a price drop. This is great news I will start purchasing digital games if the are cheaper than hard copies

What will you do if you can't play older games on new x-box

PlayStation 4 doesn't offer backwards compatibility neither to physical nor digital.

    -

So you're stuck to Wii U which has backwards compatibility but you'd make a better deal just getting the Original Wii than Wii U, Wii U barely has any games.

  5. £34.99...I would have bit at £29.99 but for £4.00 more, I can buy a hard copy at Grainger Games.

  6. Not bad, but I won't be going anywhere near buying digital games on X1 due to my internet. For a game like Ryse which is like 36GB, it would take me 2-3 days to fully download the thing.

Not really that tempting at 34.99, even less so given we dont have use of external storage yet

    Awesome game.

Must own for the XBox ONE.

Something completely with great gameplay and amazing visuals. Easily the best launch title of the lot on any platform.

I agree Az, I loved this game!

If future new releases all came on the store under £40 then I would seriously consider going Digital for most my games.

  11. If they really want to test the water with this they should be putting Thief or Titanfall on at £34.99 at release... this is just a sale on a 4mnth old game that anyone who really wanted it would already have as far as I'm concerned.

I'd never pay over £20 for a digital download due to the fact you dont own it so theres no resell value.

Gotta agree with some of the sentiments in this topic. They need to be agressive.

Steam works because of the sales, the prices of new releases are, generally the same as bricks and mortar shops. Coupled with the ability to buy steam keys at a discount through other retailers (gmg etc).

If they were however to drop games considerably at launch, as mentioned with Thief they might be on to something. Obviously they'd bear the wrath of disc based retailers, which could be a big issue when its console sales are gonna slow considerably shortly.

  15. It's currently £37.24 at Amazon. I can see Amazon dropping their price below the £34.99 mark. What MS are charging UK customers for the digital download is the same price US customers pay for a disk based version.

    UK getting shafted as usual.
