    GMAIL not accepted! Why?


    I got my xbox360 and signed up to xbox live free subscription and used my gmail address. When I was sent a link to verify email address I could not log in as the email address is not valid. Yet I am able to sign in on my xbox console to xbox live.

    When I thought I would sign in with my live.co.za email address it gave me a new gamer tag, but now I cant change the email address to use my original gamer tag. I thought I could just deactivate my account and try again but don't know if it is possible.

    Please what can I do?

    Hello, I cannot accept the terms and conditions because I have to sign in to my parent account however my parent account is a gmail account and it will not let me sign in. I have tried to sign in on the website but because it is a gmail account it is not
    accepted as a Microsoft account. Any help please? All help will be greatly appreciated GMAIL not accepted! Why? :)

    yeah but its a microsoft email not gmail im not dumb lol i would know if it was from somethingdot@gmail that it wasn't microsoft

    Yeah you have to gotoa live website non games for windows or zune or xbox for example accounts.live.com

    Or outlook.com and then register a new email

    Then you say use existing email then enter the gmail account and it becomes a windows live id with an inbox and all

    Ok, no worries. It could be that they are missing something on their accounts, which is why it is asking you to sign into the account. If they have signed up to Xbox using a Gmail account, then they would sign in using the Gmail address.
