    Global Resource Settings


    Just loaded Minecraft for Windows 10, but shortly after it crashes at every launch. Top of the page is "Global Resource Settings, Global Resource have caused game to crash and have been set back to default". Tried re-installing and resetting to default on
    the installation menu, but still no joy. Any suggestions?

    Global game settings: where?

    When I was setting up my XBOX 360 for the very first time, I clearly remember that it asked me to specify some game-related settings, which will be used as defaults for all games. That included the auto-aim setting and Y-axis inversion setting plus some
    other settings I don't remember now. That setup screen said that these global settings will be used as defaults and can be later overriden in each game individually.

    I would like to change these global defaults now. But I don't see to be able to find them anywhere. Does anyone know if there's a way to change them at all? If yes, then how?

    And that would work to actually import it, not just view the contents of the file?
    Right click on the file, open with, choose Minecraft if it's listed, if it isn't select it. That might be a way.

    Another way would be to drag the file onto the Minecraft shortcut on your desktop.

    Try opening it with winzip, that usually works (if you don't find anything on the official forums).
