Glitchy lines

when playing some of my games on my Xbox one s, these insanely glitchy black lines start to appear all over my tv screen, they don’t show up on the home screen on my Xbox just when playing a game, they are very annoying. It is not the Tv’s issue, also I
have tried fully restarting my Xbox. Also tried reinstalling a game, the game doesn’t freeze just spazzes out.

It was recently released as you know. Xbox is always a bit glitchy whenever dealing with new dlc such as this. Bottom line: You may not be able to play until tomorrow.

I am sure if there be issues that they are aware of we just have to wait in time for a patch to fix them. Most games usually fix there problems that cause glitches.

 

That sounds very much like the GPU of your console is on the way out, as it starts to glitch when under the load of playing a game.

A silly question I suppose but have you tried the console while connected to a different HDMI port or with a different HDMI cable? I suspect the GPU but it doesn't hurt to try and eliminate other options.

If it's the GPU, the console will need to be replaced or repaired. How long ago did you buy it?

Depending on where you live, you may be able to get it swapped out by the retailer. If you're in the UK, for example, you should be able to do that.

Otherwise, you should be able to get it repaired for free by MS as the console has a 12 month manufacturer warranty. Click "Support" at the top of the page here on the forums, then choose "Xbox", then "Xbox One". You can register your console there if you
haven't already and start the process to get it repaired. You'll need the console serial number to register it, which I think is on the back of the console somewhere, but you can also find it in the console settings.
