    Glitches and issues for PC Game Bar


    Hey everyone, PC game pass player here

    I’ve got a couple of problems that have existed for many updates now.


    1. When I join friends in an Xbox party, I cannot hear them until I manually change my audio output to something else and then back via the game bar overlay (windows key+G). This is a problem because my headphones are working for everything else, and the settings are correctly set to the right headphone output, but it never works until I do this switch away and then back. The input setting always works, they always me via the headphone mic.


    2. Pop-up in-game notifications for achievements interrupt everything with an enormous lag spike. I am in no way maxing out my 8600k, GTX1080, or 16GB RAM, or NVMe SSD, and yet these slow everything to unplayable as they pop-up during play. I was in a SoD2 daybreak mode game with friends the other day and we lost the match due to this killing me during a crucial moment. The lag spike shows up clearly in Rivatuner’s frame time graph overlay when I have tested it.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.



    I realize that you’re experiencing with the “Looking for Group” feature not working for Call of Duty on the PC Game Bar.



    I think if it is due to this game itself now that other games still work normally. Please check the settings of Call of Duty to ensure that online multiplayer is enabled and that you are not restricted from searching for groups or players.



    If it still doesn't work, I recommend you to uninstall the game and reinstall to see if it works .



    If you’ve checked all these possibilities and the issue still persists, it might be a temporary glitch or a known issue with the PC Game Bar. In that case, you can try again later or look for alternative ways to find groups or players for Call of Duty on PC.

    [FIXED] Issues with the PC Game Bar

    Hi there KyunKitsune welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

    Huge thank you! This problem was plaguing me for awhile, a fresh install and a reset seems to have completely cleared it up.

    Please, follow these steps:

    Press the Windows Key+X > Settings > System > System Components > Search for Game Bar > click the three dots ... > Advanced > Restore

    Then, on the same page, press Repair.

    After that, please, download the Gaming Services Repair tool:

    Once downloaded, execute the file by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator.

    Follow the prompts and check if the issue was resolved.
