    Glitch in bandwidth usage?


    Within 7-8 days the bandwidth usage said i used 143TB, is this a glitch?

    latest update - Video Playback Glitches Ocassionally

    This is hard to explain, but I've noticed on several apps that the video sometimes glitches (games are fine), I don't know how else to explain it, its not like a bandwidth issue or anything like that. I noticed when watching a 4k show on Hulu as well as
    streaming on plex.

    basically like part of the frame freezes up while the other part keeps going then it catches up or something, just a glitch about every 5-10 minutes maybe. I have 70MB down so I know its not a bandwidth issue, I didn't notice this when I first got the
    console, just after this latest update.

    I know connecting to live uses bandwidth but i would like to know why before i was in green connection with 1,6 mbps and overnight i'm in red connection , i would like to know , how remediate .

    It depends on how long you have been online. If you are online on Xbox you are always using your bandwidth. Especially when playing games and talking to friends.

    143TB is excessively high, I would be fairly certain that's an error in the Xbox displaying that information. 143GB is possible in a week (or even a couple days, if you have relatively fast internet), but 143TB does seem beyond the scope of possibility.

    Restart your console (hold the power button for 10 seconds, then unplug it and wait five minutes before reconnecting) and boot it up again, and see if the Bandwidth Usage page still displays the same number.

    @DIYoung.

    Your console has probably automatically downloaded another update for Master Chief that you didn't know about.

    If you have a metered connection I highly recommend you switch the console to energy saving mode.

    In energy saving the console takes longer to boot up but it doesn't have automatic updates. This gives you more control in how much bandwidth you are using.
