    I accidentally blocked a friend of mine recently, after unblocking them they stayed muted, I tried multiple times to unmute this person but for some reason it will not let me! I have tried redefining my Xbox as well as deleting them as a friend and trying
    to favorite them but nothing is allowing me to unmute him. Can anybody help me?

    There is currently an issue with the Party Functionality (including Mute). The team are working on this and you can keep up to date by checking out the update here: Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage.
