Giving My Account To My Child

I've had an XBox Live account for decades (not Gold, if that matters), and my son has used it for a couple of years to play on an XBox 360. He's still a child, but he's old enough to have his own child account. However, all his game saves are under my
account. I don't really play, so I was hoping just to change my existing account to his information, then set up a new account for myself and make my existing account (his "new" account) a child account under my new account. Is that possible? If not, is
there another way to transfer my account game saves to him? I don't want to try it without knowing if it will work.

You should be able to make the purchase on the child account by giving parental consent. The other option would be to purchase a gift card for the child account.

 

Child's address

My child cannot use his gift cards without entering his physical address. I AM NOT GIVING MICROSOFT MY MINOR CHILD'S ADDRESS. Now his gift card money is trapped in his account. If they wanted his address, they should have asked for it before redeeming
his gift cards into his microsoft account! (and then i would have put them on my account - which already has billing and address info). - and my kid is listed as a "child" on my account anyway!

 

Your best solution would be to set parental controls for the account you want to pass to your child. For more info:
