    Giving child permission for their own account


    Please help! I have been trying to create my daughter's xbox profile. She has her email and the start of a profile but when I give my email and password it goes to a page that says no longer available. I spent an hour on the live chat and the lady just
    ended chat as she obviously couldn't help me.

    When we dug into the setting we could see that permission was showing as been given but it did not let her make a profile so I was told to remove permission and now I can't see it at all except on the family members page.

    She then suggested changing my child's age so she could have an over 18 account but when I tried to do that I could not edit the date of birth - it was at this stage that she ended the chat. I have since changed my daughter's age on her microsoft email
    account (against my better judgement) but it still comes up as her proper date of birth on the profile page. I'm going round in circles!!! I have money on her xbox email account so please don't tell me to create a new email address.

    Thank you very much for any help you can give me. Oh and I've tried different browsers in case of cookies as I don't know how to clear the cache!

    I can't send messages nor post on my activity feed.

    Check if you have registered a child account (under 18+ of age) for in that case your parental account should give permission. Also check if you own gold membership.

    All sub accounts on a family plan are treated as child accounts. Even if they are adults. If they are children, you as a parent must contact EA to give permission for them to download the packs as EA has their own set of rules regarding children/adult
    downloading.
