Given all the massive ups and downs since launch what is your current rating of the Xbox one?

^ pretty much my experience summed up which was why I scored it a 10. Maybe I've been lucky but I really haven't had ANY issues since setting up on day one. I use insta on and game resume and the only problems I have had is Dragon Age crashing to dash
after resuming but that's the game not the console. The UI is fast and intuitive to me using Kinect and when I have gone back to using my 360 it's been a horrible slow clunky mess of waiting for it to boot up, then sign me in after minutes of spinney circle
then a load of loading before I can even play a game. 360 is dead long live the One.

Could have done with a bigger HDD to be honest, going to have to fork out for a new external shortly.

Wish it was backwards compatible also.

Kinect support almost being non existent now is a little disappointing.

Other than that, absolutely love it. The graphics are great, love the dashboard and Blue ray player, and the fact it was easy to connect to my home theatre system. Room for improvement still but it has come a long way since release.

 

I would rate it the exact same score as my PS4 - an 8 / 10. Well worth the upgrade, but both still have a few steps to go before hitting one out of the park.

Both are very solid machines. Each one has strengths and weaknesses, and as far as graphics go, my old-dude eyes see pretty much the exact same thing.

I still like my Xbox controller better, but the DS4 is a huge improvement.

 

I mainly buy a console for gaming/games and the Xbox One ( for exclusives and multiplatform ) has not disappointed here, I've had ALOT of fun since launch and it only looks to be getting better next year and beyond.

Sure I've encountered a few hiccups along the way, XBL has had a few problems, I get the odd issue with party chat but thinking back I've not had a console/PC that has been perfect but nothing that has made me regret buying.

So overall from my experience with the Xbox One it's the best console out there, best games, best service ( by no means perfect ) so it gets a solid 9/10 from me.

 

Not even with a Gun held to my head would I say PS4 is a 10 out of 10, and it would be impossible to say without sacrificing my soul for a biblical level of dishonesty.

I've decided that I'm dropping my score for the Xbox One down to a 9. There are lots of Party issues, and I've begun to get a little frustrated. Still the best console I've ever had though.

 

-5. I should be paid to be a hardware/ software tester. I shouldn't have to be paying for broken games that need a 7 GIG patch on day one, or any day for that matter. I was stupid and bought an Advanced Warfare console. Couldn't even download the game the
first few days. Day one updates should be a punishable offense. But the only ones that are going to make any difference is us. I will NOT buy another game for the 1. Strictly rent only, and even then, they are FEW and FAR between. This generation of CEO's
that let a company shove this kind of broken hardware and software on the consumer is deplorable. There is NOT a single solitary CEO or money maker in m$ that would stand for their new vehicle to be "updated" EVERY month to make it "better". This X1 system
is tripe P.O.S., plain and simple. You sold out m$. Your chance of surviving is decreasing with every instance of of consumer dissatisfaction. Wake up!. This console should come with a salary for me, to waste my time on. If you'll notice I have only played
two games on it. There might be two more before next spring and those are both rentals. Pretty sad state of affairs on your end.

I've been so underwhelmed by it, says a lot when the only two games I play are games I was playing on the 360, I hate the ui, it's slow and clunky, it seems to sign me out at random times, viewing messages, achievements takes too long, The install times
for games are also a pain.

 

I'm convinced people such as this are masochists. Why else would someone keep a product that causes so much anguish, torment, pain and suffering? You could, take it back, sell it, trade it, give it away, or just take it out back and shoot it! There is no
possible reason to keep it unless I was right about being a masochist. ;-)

^^^what I don't understand is why somebody, like yourself would get all white knight and keep responding to anybody who isn't overly impressed with it, I mean if you love it that much, shouldn't you be playing it right now and not telling people to give
their console away.

 

I'm sure you don't understand much. ;-) Let me explain this to you REAL slow, so you'll understand...Not being impressed with the X1 is one thing and maybe you'll keep it for the exclusives. Rating something a -5/P.O.S., and still keeping it, makes you a
masochist or idiot. When your reading comprehension becomes better you'll notice I gave other options than to just give it away.
