Given all the massive ups and downs since launch what is your current rating of the Xbox one?

My day one was amazing and did everything on the fly with no fuss. That ONE received a 10 out of 10. Now I had to pick up a new Xone and Jesus Christ it has been a head ache!!! Continued freezes, shuts down and restarts on its OWN!!!! I thank God this was
not my first experience with the XONE, because if it was I would give the XONE a 5 out of 10. Luckily I can return it and set up a new one soon when I have time to get to the original GAMESTOP where it was purchased.

[/quote]Launch line ups are always poor. It's all about the long term plans for me. I'll be keeping my eye on things for the next year and we'll see how both MS and Sony are planning ahead after the initial launch hype
has died down. As is, it's just about which side can throw enough money at publishers at launch to get a few highlights but that's hardly a reliable viewing of how things will be later on.

Why do people seem to think the PS4 will download their massive updates faster than Xbox's massive updates?

Here's the thing-since launch 2 entirely new tracks and almost 100 car models have been added to Forza 5 through free and paid DLC, and as such must be available on your system to act as drivatars or represent during online races. Now games are active, changing
things, and as such take up GB upon GB of space. You have to give it time, and give your internet connection a break. Even Minecraft takes up several gigabytes of space.

At least you can do this and XBL isn't down. PSN is, so thousands of people are stuck with stock PS4s that can't play bluray and broken games like Unity that need an update to work, or games missing all their free DLC like Driveclub's weather.

 

The console for me is a 9 / 10.

I love it. It's done all I wanted it to do and given me a ton of fun.

Xbox LIVE on Xbox One is a 8 / 10.

LIVE has always been a good solid experience for me but due to the few downtimes I have had as well as a few problems, I've knocked 2 points down.

All in all, it's still the best out there that suits my needs in my opinion.

 

+7 it plays games.

-2 for the fugly ugly UI

-1 for its heat management (inefficient cooling design, basically no vacuum inside the case).

 

My question: Why are the low scores not providing a reason for there score??? I'm indifferent if someone likes it or not, but come on, provide some sort of support for your answer.

 

10/10. I love my Xbox One. My baby. I been loving Kinect the more I use it! Just had a question though, how do you open an app's options from the home page? Like let's say I want to quit Destiny and I'm home. I press start and go to quit but is there a voice
command for start? I can use voice command to quit but not sure what opens the options. I hope someone understands what I'm asking lol.

 

Right now I would have to give it a solid 7.0!!!! I want to give it more but with the UI problems, the amount of time it takes to open apps and party chat, and the fact that I have had to do to many hard resets lately, I just can't bring myself to give it
any more than that. It is a great system with great potential but the problem it's got going on is just unexceptable coming from the largest software company in the world.

 

i have a hard time quantifying a rating, but i will say that i'm very happy with my X1, and the amount of entertainment it has provided has far outweighed the amount of money invested.

@Defy Lightning, i don't know about voice commands, but i know you can use hand gestures by "long pressing" on something will bring up that sub menu.

 

I'd give it either a 8.5 or 9.0

What I like:

1. Play Where You Left Off after shutdown - I like how you can turn off the XBOX ONE after playing a game, and when you start it back up the game loads where you left off, meaning you don't have to wait for the loading screen.

2. Improved Graphics and Performance - This is common knowledge, but it's something I like.

3. Quite - The XBOX ONE is very quite, much more then the XBOX 360.

4. Doesn't Get Very Hot - Back on the 360 I had to have a small fan running on it otherwise it would get very, very hot. I have yet to see/feel the XBOX ONE getting hot.. it gets warm, but no where near the 360.

What I Don't Like:

1. Game Will Start Off Where You Left Off, But Go Back To Loading Screen (after 12 hours) - There is a 50/50 change after 12 hours of the console being turned off, back in the disc slot it will load where you left off and you can keep on playing or it will
load where your left off and stop and go back to the load screen.

2. Inserting Some Games I'd Hear a "Grind" Sound - This happens to a few games, but thankfully doesn't damage the game any. After hearing this "grind" sound the console will not recognize that there is a game in it. I have to take it out and put it back
in.. most of the time I only have to do this once, but there are times where i have to do it 3 to 4 times.

3. Have Select Gamer Profile in Games - So I have my console to automatically sign me in at start-up, but when I load a game it says I am not signed in. It's the games fault more then the consoles fault though.

All and all I find the XBOX ONE great.. is it perfect no. But it's great.

 

Im going to ahead and change my score from a 6 out of 10 to a 3.5 out of 10 i was being too nice with that six

 

One would wonder why you keep it? I rated my X1 a 11/10, and if posed the question about the PS4 would give it 9/10. I can assure you that if I felt either console was a 6 or lower, it would be gone from my house not taking up space; even I had to give
them away or sell at a loss.

I give it a 7/10 mainly for the ugly UI and how things are sorted.

 

@d33dles thats cool and all but im not you .. I wouldnt give somethin i paid good money for away. I would rate X1 3.5 & PS4 10/10.

For many reasons but i'll list the basics

Sleeker console design

Better hardware

Better controller (for my hands)

Better exclusive (for my taste)

I am only keeping my X1 for GOW unless i sell it then i'll just buy it again with a GOW Bundle by that time it might be $150 with kinect and everything lol.

Anyways i read a few members saying the graphical difference is small .. Its not, not for me afleast and i have 20/20 vision. I playd call of duty and battlefield on both consoles and they all look superior on my PS4

I did love Ryse: Son of Rome my favorite game on the X1 currently but i havent tried anything new have it boxed it up.
