Gin Rummy Multiplayer not working

Recently, the Multiplayer feature of Gin Rummy has stopped working. Is there a server limit to the number of online players for this game? I'm using an XBox One and my opponent is using an XBox One S. We had problems with this game before and found that a Privacy and Security setting had to be changed. We have both checked these settings and nothing has changed. It would seem that Microsoft is no longer supporting online playing of this game. This is an old XBox 360 Arcade game and it would be nice if someone created a new Gin Rummy game for XBox One. My opponent and I play this game nightly. For the last 2 months we have found it more and more difficult to receive game invitations. Now this feature doesn't work at all. Could someone please shed some light on this issue? Gin Rummy is now working perfectly!

Thank you so much for your suggestions. We installed some XBox 360 games that were backward compatible on our XBox One Consoles. The Online MultiPlayer feature worked just fine on the newly installed games. We then synchronized our Privacy and Security Settings
on both the XBox One S and the XBox One. Next, we launched Gin Rummy. Now the Online MultiPlayer feature works fine. As an added test, we shutdown both Consoles, started them, and launched Gin Rummy. I sent my friend an invitation and she got it right away.
We are so happy now because we both love this game.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums. It looks like you may need to adjust your Privacy and online settings.

To make changes to your account privacy on PC:

Go to https://account.xbox.com/settings
Click Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety and make sure your settings are set to Allow

On the Xbox console:

On the Xbox console, press the Xbox button and navigate to Profile & system > Settings
Go to Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Privacy

Hi there,

just to be sure, have you tried to play any other Xbox 360 game online with each other? To check if it's related to the specific game or Xbox 360 game related.

Just to be sure, try and check privacy settings etc at
http://account.xbox.com/settings

if any settings were changed be sure to sign out and sign back in again for the settings to become active.

There is no mention about removing online play for this game as far as I could find at the moment.

The issue is now fixed. I am able to install both Golf Tee It Up and Gin Rummy.
