as far as I know, it is impossible to change what a gift card is for, if the gift card was for Xbox Game pass, then you can't change it to Xbox Game pass for PC.

For World War Z and it is the season pass. I bought two of them and gifted it to some friends but for some reason they can't use it on the pc version of it.

The PC version of World War Z on Game Pass can not use DLC from the Xbox One version.

Unless a PC game is on
this list it can not use DLC's for Xbox One, gifted or otherwise.

No code for Game Pass (console/pc/ultimate) is automatically redeemed to your account. Microsoft and Xbox gift cards from Rewards are added to your account automatically, but game pass is not.
