Gifting via Xbox Marketplace

Has anyone else had issues regarding the gifting service on Xbox?

Don't feel like reading just skip to the buttom.

I have had multiple issues and am now starting to lose faith in what I thought was going to be super awesome feature for me to use to rewards friends and family alike.

Instead im met with headaches and tech support that tells me its my fault rather than trying to fix the problem. They tell me "You tried making a purchase and it failed so now your account is temporarily locked from purchasing." Of course I don't get a
notification of this either so I keep attempting later and later prolonging the problem that DID NOT come from my end.

I tried to ask, after failing at having my problems resolved, why gifting is such a problem. Instead of answer I was told my payment method must be at fault. Not 30 seconds later I logged onto the account I was trying to gift and used said payment method
to purchase what it was they were looking for with no problems.

Anyways, I would like to hear if anyone else has had any issues with it or if I am just unlucky?
