Gifting to different regions.

Hi. I bought something on the xbox store as a gift for a friend of mine. I live in South Africa and they live in Brazil. They aren't able to redeem the code because apparently it's region locked. We've tried using a VPN but it didn't work and they don't
want to change their account region because it can only be changed once every 3 months. Am I out of luck or is there something else I can do?

There's no way to bypass region locking. You can try requesting a refund. If you still want to buy it for them, you would have to try finding a way to buy it for their region.

Gifts are set up by region and will not be redeemable if it was purchased from a different region. Changing consoles region to another region falsely will not change the outcome. The only option would be to have the person that purchased the gift to attempt
to reverse the purchase of the gift as the code will not be able to be redeemed in a different region. Refund Webform

due to pricing difference between regions and licencing differences between regions you cannot gift anything to another region.

Gift cards are region locked and so is not possible to redeem them in a different region. Your friend will need to send you a gift card in your currency.

Hello again, I'm not referring to the place that rescued the gift card, but the origin of it, the region of the gifts, is certainly from a different region, and so the values appear separate.
