    I've had a friend though xbox for years, and its always been a problem to buy him a gift through xbox since we game together often. He can send games to me but not vice versa. Is there any talk of xbox allowing canada-usa game gifting? It would be highly

    No in there almost certainly won’t be. There are various licenses, rights, and regulations about such international transactions. Your best bet is to simply use Amazon to send them a gift card

    Is it from the same region as you?

    Gifting is region locked so if it's from USA but you are in Canada it won't work

    You will have to create a new gamertag with the region as a US one. Bear in mind that MS Points bought in the States are region locked and will not work on your Canadian account.
