    Gifting from Canada


    I live in British Columbia Canada and want to buy and gift a game add on to a friend in Arizona United States. But buying it through the console region locks it to buying redeemed in Canada only. My question is .... if I log into a Microsoft Store site
    for United States and purchase it through there and gift it will it be a US code sent to him ??

    You should only gift Canadian friends. For me, if I was in the US, I should only gift those friends from that country.

    No. The region is based on your account region, not the console or website itself. To purchase for someone outside of your region, you would need to buy a code from a website that sells them for that region and send them the code.

    Is it from the same region as you?

    Gifting is region locked so if it's from USA but you are in Canada it won't work
