Gifting from another region

Discus and support Gifting from another region in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Say i change my region to my friend,who then later gifts me something?     No as that leads to fraud

    The idea to to limit the amount of monetization of stolen accounts

    You just have tk buy fro. A etailer from your own region

    As mentioned gifting and codes are REGION locked

    It doesn't matter if the game is in both regions the code only works in the region it is purchased in regardless if you bought it from a retailer or ms or not

    No other console other then Nintendo allows gifting

    You would still have to buy from your own region

    The system does warn you when you're gifting that codes will only work for the region you purchase them for.

    Your friend would have to see about refunding the original purchase and then purchase a code for your region from another retailer.
    Thanks for the suggestion. It's really annoying that my friend has to go through so much effort just so he can gift me a game.

    Gifting games through Xbox is region locked. If they're buying them elsewhere, then they usually aren't.

    Regional locked sadly you cannot gift to others in different areas. It's due to transfer of money from what I heard.
