    Gifting friends


    this has been something that has bugged me for the longest time. gifting on console...why hasn't it been done yet? is it even possible?? if it is possible then is it in the works? i know my friends and i are just a few of hopefully the many people that wished
    they could gift a game to their friend over xboxlive... instead of the current state *going through the hassle of getting ur card info on each others xbox (and deleting it if u tell them too)*.

    I'm not good at writing and trying to be convincing. so ill just end here and say that gifting on the xbox would be a wish come true for my friends and i. we also use steam and have gotten each other games we weren't able to get so we could play together.
    not to mention its a great EASY way to make a birthday wish come true or a Christmas present happen =)

    please microsoft consider gifting in the future of xbox. I've been a member for close to 10 years and got the original xbox when it first came out. I will continue being a member for the years to come!!

    You can gift a game just once with no fee involved. The caveat is that your friend must have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and once the game has been gifted to him, he cannot gift it again.

    Go to your garage, click A on the one you want to gift, scroll down to Gift Car, select that, then pick the friend you want to gift that to. No you cannot gift credits, but there are way around that, just have your friend auction a car for the amount you
    want to "gift" to him.

    Gifting games to your friends can only be done if you are in the same region.

    For example you will not be able to gift a game to a friend if you live in US and the friend in the UK.

    You should only gift Canadian friends. For me, if I was in the US, I should only gift those friends from that country.

    I also received a gift from a friend. I live in Brazil, and my friend in USA. I can not redeem my gifts.

    Unfortunately you can't gift games if your friend lives in a different country. He will have to either gift to another friend in the US or request a refund. It does state at purchase that gifting is only available in the same country.
