    Gifting a game for a friend (DOES NOT WORK)


    Hope everyone is doing well◉‿◉

    I have a problem with gifting a game for a friend, i have done everything in my power (and virtual assistant power to continue with this)

    I am not able to get through to customer service helpline for some reason. I keep on getting this message as you can see below. I am kinda getting frustrated, I even went as far as buying the game and immediately it went through no problems, but as soon as i gift it this happens. I have 2 ways of paying this( one is Microsoft prepaid card and the other is a digital visa card because i forgot about sales tax (•‿•), but if there is anyway someone can give me a push in the rigt direction please do so

    Any help would be appreciated ( ‿◕) thanks

    A friend bought me a game but I can't use the code

    Unfortunately you can't gift games if your friend lives in a different country. He will have to either gift to another friend in the US or request a refund. It does state at purchase that gifting is only available in the same country.

    code not redeemable because of region, seller is literally xbox microsoft store

    There are a couple of reasons gifts are region locked, taxation laws in different Countries and game licence within each Country. It does state at point of purchase that gifts are region locked. Your friend will have to attempt a refund. Sorry.

    Can't purchase free game of the month for xbox 360 on xbox.com

    Xbox and Microsoft should do what Steam does and allow people to buy games as a gift and that person is then able to directly gift that item/game to family/friends xbox accounts. Used it hassle free with Steam and would get rid of this clunky system!

    The game isnt showing up in the Refund box, do i need to wait a day? or does my friend need to do it? as its their gift?
