    hi I purchased a game as a gifted item it can't be downloaded as no region code .how do I get a region code or get my money back

    cannot redeem a code

    If the friend that gifted you the code is in another region the code will not work as codes are region locked. That friend would have to contact official support to attempt to get a refund.

    gift code wont redeem.

    If he gifted it through Xbox, he would need to contact Xbox customer support if he wants a refund. The codes from the gifting option are region locked and will only work in the region they were gifted from.

    Why am I still not allowed to gift games or avatar items to international friends?

    So there is a huge problem once again. I tried to gift my German friend an avatar item, but she told me it doesn't work because it doesn't work for her region. Now I think anything I gift can affect regions outside USA. I mean am I only allowed
    to gift American friends and nobody else?
    Your only real option is to find an etrailer within their regiom and buying a code for that region and yoi take the risk

    Prices are not the same for every regoon as others pointed out

    Its not for the USA only

    GIFTING is only for people within YOUR region

    This is clearly stated on the gifting screen

    Can't purchase Outer Worlds for PC because I can't change my region.

    Changing region doesn't let you purchase stuff from the store for that region or redeem gifted codes. The best work around I found was having a friend from that region redeem the gift code so that I could have the content, I'm sure this would also work
    with purchases. Other than that I don't have any other suggestions, let me know if it works.

    Hello Jack,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. Unfortunately, the person that gifted you the code, will need to request a refund for the item due to different regions. They can then send you the funds for the code if they want. There is no way to gift
    to different regions.

    Changing your region to redeem a gift is against the terms of service of Xbox. Changing your region to redeem a gift code can result in the suspension or termination of your Xbox account. If you want to redeem an Xbox gift code, you should do so in the region where the code was purchased. If you have moved to a new region, you can change your region in the Microsoft Store to access content that is available in your new region. However, keep in mind that items you bought in one region might not work in another.
