    Gifted game sent to wrong email address


    A friend has 2 Microsoft related email addresses - one for his mail and one for his Xbox account.

    I have gifted him an Xbox game via the Store, but sent it to the wrong email address meaning that he cannot redeem the code. Is there a way of amending the destination email or linking his second email to his account so he can access the new title, but doesn't
    lose access to any other purchases he's made with his usual Xbox account?

    Hello sorry you are experiencing this. It is always best to double check emails before sending gifts to people. The best thing in this situation would be to call and speak with a live representative through XBox to see if they can possibly help. I really
    dont think its a refund option available for this sorry.

    Thank you for your post. If you've sent a gift to the wrong e-mail address, please submit a

    Refund Request     to get in contact with a refund agent to have the gift refunded so you can send it to the correct e-mail.

    Im not sure if there is anything you can do as i have never heard of someone having this issue. Try to contact the support team to see if they can help you.
