    Gifted game not working correctly on receiver's end


    About half an hour ago i gifted the new minecraft game to my friend from the xbox store (i personally already own it) as he only had the beta. He received the code and entered it and seemed successful. He downloaded the game without any difficulty but
    when the game started up, he still owned the beta version and we are unable to find a fix.

    I gifted a treasure map to my friend [Mod Removed - Personal Information] he is in America and the code is not working. Any way we can get it too work.

    Gifted present not working.

    Gifting is region locked, so if you're not also in America, there is no way to make it work. You would want to contact support for a refund or give the code to someone else. Contact Us | Xbox Support

    Your friend will need to leave the Xbox Insiders Minecraft Beta. Have them try following these steps:

    To leave the Minecraft Beta:

    1. On Xbox One or a Windows 10 PC, sign in with the account that registered for the Minecraft Beta and
      launch the Xbox Insider Hub.
    2. Navigate to Insider content > Minecraft (or Minecraft for Windows 10 on PC)
    3. Select Manage.
    4. Use the radio button to select Unenroll (Leave this preview), then select
      Done.
    5. Wait an additional 30-60 minutes after unenrollment completes (Pending no longer appears in the Xbox Insider Hub).
    6. Uninstall and reinstall Minecraft.

    Please check the region of both accounts.

    1. The account that purchased the game.

    2. The account that received the gift.

    They must be both on the same region. The region that you are currently located.

    When he gifts you a game you receive a code for the cash or game

    If you arent in the same region it will not work

    And yes gifted currency and games are region locked
