Gifted Cyberpunk 2077

I recently purchased Cyberpunk 2077 for a friend, the game was unplayable past a certain point and later was available for a full refund due to the game being rushed out before it was actually ready. Because the game was gifted to someone and they redeemed
the code, the game is unavailable through the refund script on the support page. Also because the game was a gift, the person who received the gift could not request a refund because they were not the one who purchased the game. I tried to contact customer
support, but refunds are not covered by phone or chat support and it refers me to the page with the automated script where I am unable to request a refund. Cyberpunk 2077 is unplayable and Xbox has posted about until further notice you can request a refund
but they are not following through with this. Would like to know what I can do to fix this situation.
