    Gifted a game to friend


    Hi I gifted Sea of Thieves to my friend and when he opens it it says choose a plan that's right for you. He checked his account settings and there was no subscriptions but that's because his brother has an account and shares xbox live. Could his brothers ran out or what else could it be. He could only not play Sea of Thieves but he could play everything else he had that needed xbox live

    Gifting games to your friends can only be done if you are in the same region.

    For example you will not be able to gift a game to a friend if you live in US and the friend in the UK.

    So How Do You Gift An Xbox 360 Digital Game On The Console Store?

    Seems that gift games is a Xbox One games geatures only, you can't gift Xbox 360 game... a workaround is gift a 5$ card to your friend.

    Unfortunately you can't gift games if your friend lives in a different country. He will have to either gift to another friend in the US or request a refund. It does state at purchase that gifting is only available in the same country.

    Yes but he could only not play sea of thieves and could play other things that needed xbox live
    Like what other games for example? They could just be free to play games potentially.
