If you gift the game then you're given a code to redeem on the account you want to redeem it on. If you're game sharing with your brother then he would be able to access the game.

Thanks for your post. Unfortunately there is no way to transfer Microsoft Account balances between accounts, although you can use that one account to gift the desired account the item you intended to purchase originally.

Damn I was really hoping I could transfer it, but the gift option is a great solution.

Do you know if it works with gameshare (licence share)? So I can enjoy Red Dead Redemption with my brother and put this whole mess behind me.
