    Gift purchase


    The game store is a pain to browse on the computer. I just want to buy the game for my girlfriend, so we can play taking advantage of the Crossplatform play feature. But on the games app or whatever, when I look up Killer Instinct in the XboxOne store...
    well, nothing comes up. And when it comes to buying gift cards to send the keys to her, it's also a mess. Buying them from the USA based internet store allows me to choose the amount for the card, but I am not allowed to pay for them without a USA billing
    address. And the Spanish online store... well, it only lets me purchase cards in increments of 200$ up to 1000$. SUCH VARIED CHOICE!

    So, since Microsoft will probably make me go through all kinds of hoops just to get the simplest possible answer, and FAQ is always insufferable to browse to find my specific issue. Could anybody help me?

    You would have to redeem them for an Xbox gift card and then you can use the money from your gift card to purchase digital content.

    Keep in mind, in order to use currency from gift cards for 360 content, you do have to make the purchase from a 360 console.

    It's not possible to gift a game over Live. If you were to purchase it on your account, it would be tied to your account.

    You could either send them a disc or send them a gift card to purchase the game themselves. If you buy a gift card, you would need to make sure the gift card is for his region.

    Normally the Visa gift cards that are purchased at stores like that do not work for purchases on Xbox and this is through the Bank that handles the gift card because they are thinking that you are trying to purchase a renewing subscription and these types
    of purchases can not be made with the gift cards like that.

    The option to gift is only available in the store at the time of purchase. You have to buy it as a gift, you can't gift a game you have already purchased.

    In order for it to be a gift, you would have to choose "buy as a gift" when making the purchase. Preorders typically aren't eligible for gifting though. So your purchase would be tied to your account.

    The purchase you made would actually be tied to the account that purchased it. In order to buy it as a gift, you would have to purchase a disc or a digital code from a retailer.

    In order to buy a game as a gift through Xbox, you have to choose "Purchase as a gift" (if it's available) and enter the other person's email.
