Gift purchase of Destiny 2

I purchased Destiny 2/Xbox 1 for one son, using the account of another son. We hoped to receive the confirmation email, as well as the code, to send along to the intended son in another state. The confirmation email does not contain any codes, so perhaps
I ordered it incorrectly. How can I rectify this gift?

Thanks everybody! I purchased it within the Destiny Menu itself. It showed my gift card and allowed me to make the purchase. I also received the pre-order benefits.

Destiny 2 DLC

Hi, to play Forsaken on destiny 2, you also need the Curse of Osiris and Warmind. As you own Destiny 2 already, you will have to purchase The Expansion pass, which will give you the 1st two dlc, and then purchase the Forsaken dlc seperately.

If you purchased it from the console or xbox.com, the purchase is automatically tied to the account that purchase it and automatically downloads to that account without a code. You would need to contact support and speak to billing to see if they can refund
the purchase. 1-800-4-my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us You would need to be able to sign into his account in order to purchase the game on his account or you can purchase a code from microsoftstore.com or even from places like Amazon.

I'm sorry to hear that you gifted the wrong platform for the Destiny Legacy Collection DLC. Unfortunately destiny 2 canr.be bought on pc via xbox games for Windows 10

You can only buy it via battlenet or steam for pc aa mentioned in the link above

You would have to refund on the platform you gifted on

You can only gift the console version on the xbox network

You can download Destiny 2, and it's DLC from the Xbox app on PC. So your friend who plays on Xbox and PC can play Destiny 2 and the DLC you gifted him on the PC, as long as the PC he has is powerful enough for the game.

I was just taxed twice by buying the Destiny Expansion Pass thru GameStop. The GameStop website, and the emailed invoice, said I purchased a download code; $35.00 plus tax. However, when I redeemed the code, I was credited only $35.00, and when I purchased
the Pass I was charged $34.99 plus tax. So, after being in contact with both GameStop and Microsoft, it seems GameStop was only selling a gift card for the amount that would cover the Destiny Expansion Pass purchase; not a direct download code. So is this
legal to charge tax on the Live Currency (a gift card)? And as the Microsoft Support suggested why would you ever buy a gift card or Live Currency (especially from GameStop), when you should just purchase everything via the Market Place? BTW, the link from
the Destiny website, to purchase the Expansion Pass, to the Microsoft Store is broken, so only the GameStop option is available.
