    Hello,

    A friend of mine purchased a game for me called 'Hunt Showdown.' It was a surprise gift. It cost him $15. I redeemed the code that came with it and downloaded the game. Upon opening the game, it says that I need to subscribe to xbox live or games pass. I don't have either since I am a student, I don't particularly have time to play xbox during the university semester and also don't want to spend $10 a month on games pass when most games I play don't require it anyway. This is the first game I have downloaded that requires live. I am shocked that a 'paid' game requires live when ftp games like halo don't.

    So now I am stuck. I have a downloaded game that I cannot play and a friend that spent money on me. Is there any way the game can be refunded or is it too late since I have already redeemed/downloaded the game? If it is too late should I repay my friend? Either way I now have a game that I cannot play, so, thanks xbox for the warning!

    If whoever you gifted it to does not claim it it will be retured to you. I had several that I gifted and they never accepted them so I got them back in about a week.

    hope I get a reply. or maybe try the GT above and below the GT your were trying to

    gift it to.

    There's history of what people send you, but no way of knowing your reply. Best you can do is tab over and look at recent friends.

    Yeah but if that particular friend doesn't play Forza, the car is as good as gone. Hopfully you had the precense of mind to save the car's paint and tune in case you needed to recreate it. If not, sorry, you'll have to check it off as a loss and start
    over. I've made the same mistake... it sucks but it's worth learning from.
