I Recently Gifted a friend the High Isle Collectors Edition expansion for Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox, and when he uses the code, it states that the code is invalid.

I have reached out to Bethesda who has instructed me to reach out to the Retailer which i would assume is microsoft???

how would i go about requesting a new code be sent to the recipient, or have the expansion refunded.

i submitted to refund thing.

but can you confirm if the person is in a different region that gifting will not work?

Do you live un the same region as him if not that would be why

I purshased the item as a gift on the Xbox Store on my Xbox.

Both account region need to be the same.
For example, if you live in US and your friend in UK, they're not going to be able to redeem the code

They are going to receive something like a "region doesn't match" message

Thanks, if the code hasn't been redeemed you can ask for a refund using the refund form below
After that and if you want you can gift the item again

In case your refund gets denied, you can actually file an appeal for the results of the refund.

All you need to do is to reply to the email that was sent to you by the refund team, you can reply with a detailed explanation so they can review your request again and grant you a possible exception.
