    my american friend (i live in Canada) just gifted me titanfall 2 ultimate edition and i can't use the code because of my region??? I even switched to united states as my location and i still can't use it. This is unbelievable. Is there any way this can be
    fixed? I'd like to play my gift please

    No, the gift codes bought via the Xbox Store are region locked. the person making the purchase is warned of this, that the code can only be redeemed in the same country.

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to gift a subscription. However, you can purchase a digital code for an Xbox Gift Card from the Microsoft Store website. The website allows you to adjust the amount of money that you want to put on the code. Fill up the gift card with the amount of money required to buy the subscription. You will receive the prepaid code by email so you can give the code to your friend, have your friend redeem the gift card and purchase the subscription with the currency. Keep in mind, this process does not work if you and your friend are from different countries.
