Gift code for my friend

You cannot gift or use codes outside of the region they were issued

Then how would I gift to my friend a code for his birthday?

My friend gift me minecraft but his region and i are different.
I don't know to able to accept the gift code.

You cant. Your friend will have to request a refund for the code and purchase a code for you that is meant for your region. The region of the code must match the region of your account.

He has to do it not over xbox but he has to go onto the accounts thing. E.g Sam@gmail then go on Gmail and it would say This person has sent you Borderlands then you click on the link and follow the instructions

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have an issue with a code. Unfortunately, this can happen when gifting codes to different regions. When your friend purchased somehow was given a worldwide code. The code you purchased was for your region
most likely. We recommend refunding the purchase or request a call from support to see what your options are. You will need to be the one who requests the call as you purchased it.

When you go to Contact Us, follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next. On next box hit skip.
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

When my friend tries to activate the gift code, it says "This code can't be redeemed. It was purchased in a different region from your account."
