    Gift cards sent in wrong currency


    hi there, I cashed in some rewards points for 2 $10 gift cards. I live in Canada, and both my gift cards came in as USD, and I am unable to use them. They show up in my profile but don’t show up for me when I try to make a purchase. I need help and so far
    3 emails to Microsoft rewards has gotten me zero replies.

    Hi;

    Xbox live sent me $5 gift card like 15 days ago. I live in Turkey so our currency is Turkish lira. I can't use dollar on my Xbox as you know mate. So can we exchange dat $5 gift card to Turkish lira gift card?

    If they were from the Microsoft Rewards program, you would need to wait for their response. The Xbox Rewards program is not the same so Xbox Rewards support will not be able to assist.

    Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with redeeming the gift card on the wrong account.

    What type of gift card was it? (Currency/Subscription)

    Unfortunately, if the gift card is for Microsoft Currency you will not be able to transfer or refund. The funds will get attached to the account it was redeemed on.

    The instructions that were sent were wrong. The website to redeem them on is correct and you would choose to have them either email the Visa gift card or mail you a card. Since you ordered a Visa gift card from the vault, you would get a Vida gift card,
    not an Xbox gift card.

    Sorry to here about this. You can contact Xbox Support and provide them the code of the card and they can deposit the amount to your account correctly. I would
    also make sure you inform them so that they can help you with this. And from my research I don’t believe you can change regions with gift cards.
