    I'm trying to upload a xbox gift card to my PC and i have the following error message "This code is for another region, it was purchased in a different region from your account". We purchased in Canada at a grocery store.

    So weird that is says purchased in a different region. Would you not just input the code and a way you go to purchase a game?

    Why can’t we use Microsoft account balance to purchase digital xbox gift card?

    Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards. The Microsoft account balance is essentially the same as a gift card since funds typically come from Xbox gift cards.
