    I have a 16 digit gift card, which can only be redeemed in physical retail stores. As all microsoft physical retail stores are now closed, I am stuck with a lot of money in a gift card, which there is no way to redeem online. When will Micorsoft solve
    this issue?

    Why can’t we use Microsoft account balance to purchase digital xbox gift card?

    Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards. The Microsoft account balance is essentially the same as a gift card since funds typically come from Xbox gift cards.
