    gift card redeemed under wrong account under a family account


    We have a family account with 2 accounts within. one for my husband and 1 for my son. my son accidentally put a $50 gift card on my husbands account. are we able to transfer these funds to my sons account since they are under a family account?

    My son DOES have his own account under our Family Account. This is exactly what I tried doing, as there is no way to redeem a gift card under the child's account when logged in as the parent. I mistakenly thought that the family account was all connected,
    so went ahead with redeeming the gift card. Herein lies the problem. I cannot add that money to his account, I cannot gift Vbucks (which is what he wanted to use the money for), and I have no interest in purchasing games myself. Basically, I am out $40
    and it sucks. :(

    That is the problem...The cards were redeemed under MY account in the Family account because there was no way to redeem the cards under the CHILD account online. He has been able to do it directly on Xbox, but I was trying to have it available for him
    when he got home...EPIC FAIL!
