    Hey guys I have a question. I bought a $100 xbox gift card and activated it to my account. It will not let me purchase games without having to put in my profile address... I want to bypass this since I am not overly comfortable putting this information down just for a game lol. Is there a way around this? Thank you!

    Hi there.

    Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done by Microsoft in terms of redeemed gift cards. You will need to take the gift cards back to the retailer where you purchased them from and explain the issue. They may issue a new gift card or refund your purchase.

    And yes people do switch regions to try and gain access to free content

    As smwutches mentioned part of verification includes verifying who you are

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    First, check and validate your Microsoft balance by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments, make sure that it's showing up from there.

    Once confirmed, try purchasing the game again.
