Gift card isn’t working on xbox

It’s not a game pass gift card I’m aware that I already have ultimate on my account which I pay for, it is just a standard gift card with money on it that isn’t working for some reason.

I tried going up there and they told me that they dont deal with gift cards because they dont know whats wrong with them and i took the l receipt with me and showed them exactly when i bought it i also bought an itunes gift card and at the same time and
that worked fine i also had the part of the receipt it said both were approved and activated

Try going through those troubleshooters to see if that yields any luck. Depending on what time it is in your local area, you may have to request to see a manager possibly tomorrow to help you with it (as sometimes some retails employees may not be sure what
to do depending on the store policies.) You may want to consider calling the support for ITunes/Apple Music about the other gift card as well.

You may want to request a call from Xbox support tomorrow to help you as well. Phone support is 9am to 4:30 pm Pacific Time on Monday-Friday. (Same hours apply Saturday and Sunday I believe.)

Issues with physical gift cards are for the retailer you bought the gift card pack to deal with. The most likely case is that the cashier rung you up for the gift cards but did not activate them. All you need to do is go back to the store you bought them
from, with the receipt, and have them activated. If you lost the receipt/threw it away already... you're probably going to be stuck with the unactivated gift cards. Be sure to call the retailer ahead before you go back to get them reactivated.

there is a 'request a new code,' page. You can only really use that if you're getting one of the variety of issues listed on that page. If you're not experiencing any of those issues, then the chance that the gift card just wasn't activated would hold true.

Yes i bought them from kroger thats right down the street from my house and it said the code has failed or isnt available
