    Hello,

    I bought a wal mart $25 gift card from wal mart, i haven't used it, i was wondering if i could just send the code over text to my friend that lives in a different state, woud that work? Or is the code stuck to a zipcode?

    XBOX Live Gift Cards

    There’s Xbox gift cards, which can be spent on anything in the store, and then there are Xbox Live subscription cards. If you bought a card specifically for Gold, then it’s just for that. I would go back to the store and exchange it for Xbox gift cards.

    As long as it's the same region it'll work. They're not tied to zip code.

    If it's a gift card that sends you a code, then you would just give them the code. If it's like an Xbox gift card, those are automatically deposited into your account so you can't gift those.
