Gift Card Code doesn't work

I spoke to customer support, they asked me to post on the forum. I have a $10 xbox gift card with 2 missing characters, and the barcode is somehow invalid. I was hoping to get it resolved.

every time i try to put in my gift card code it says Code not found.Try re-entering it.If that doesn't work, contact the Merchant

I preordered Watch Dogs and my 15 dollar gift card doesn't work.

I preordered Watch Dogs and got a 15 dollar gift card. The gift card doesn't work. I've tried redeeming it on about 5 different websites in as many ways possible but it still doesn't work. Also, it's only a 9 digit code and every place always asks for a
25 digit code.

I've talked to customer support but get very little help. Is anybody else having this problem and does anybody know of a way that I can redeem my 15 dollar gift card. Thanks.

Unfortunately there's nothing anyone on the forums can do. Support would be the ones to talk to, but if they can't do anything the only other option is to try checking with the retailer you purchased it from.

All codes must be 25 characters

If it is a ms store code that is completely different and can only be redeemed on their website not xbox

YYou can't scan a bar code on Xbox live

Only a qr code.

Bar codes are only for the retailer nor can you use the bar code in anywsy

Unfortunately, Microsoft can't help in that case. They can't revoke gift card codes and also can't change the currency for you.

So if your friend sent you a Gift card from a country different than yours, it won't work. The only way to resolve this is to return the code to your friend, so he can use it in Canada himself.

Gifting things doesn't work across different regions, so if your friend really wants to send you a Microsoft Gift card, they'll have to go to Amazon for example and order a Gift card from your country.

Microsoft will not issue you a new code, as they legally can't do currency conversion like that.
