Ghosts keep loading campaign on startup

When you quit the game are you guys hitting start and quit from the Xbone menu? I know I sound like a broken record but this did fix it for me, when the game loads and boots to campaign, play it for a minute then pause save and quit. Go to multiplayer play
for a bit the quit to game menu. Hit the home button then hit start and quit.

I have also set the console to energy saver so it boots all the way down. Remember that unless you tell an application to quit that it's still running in the background and has to be closed manually.

FragMunky006's suggestion of playing the campaign for a bit seems to have worked for me.

My console already uses energy saving mode so doubt instant on mode would have been the cause.

But so far since playing the campaign for a bit the problem has been fixed. Although I actually finished a whole campaign mission. Not just reached a checkpoint.

I've been having same issue since the update to the digital copy also. Except I get a blank screen. Started loading the campaign once, but then froze.

2 things you can try, I did both at the same time and it worked. first uninstall the game, it'll ask if you want to uninstall addons say yes. Once the uninstall is finished hold the power button until it turns off.pull the power cable out wait 2 minutes.
Plug the power back in turn it on and re install the game.

I tried the hard reset already Sprouts, its a temporary fix. It works until the next time you turn on the console. Well, that's how it worked for me anyway

Haven't had an issue since continuing campaign then saving and quoting back to menu. Also, updated today and no further issues.

I am having the exact same thing happen to me and it's driving me mad,

Every time I switch on my xbox one and launch ghosts it automatically loads into the campaign rather the the main menu options for multiplayer and extinction,
