    So I've encountered a curious issue with a second-hand XBOX 360 I purchased. The system disconnects from Live at what I thought were random times, but I've noticed it tends to happen around 9 or so every time it happens. After thinking there was a pattern, I went to the Family Controls to see if I could deactivate anything that was getting in the way, but now the problem is that I can't get in because the previous passcode of whoever owned the system (360 S) locked it. I can't reset the code either (that I know of). Factory reset is implied, as there was literally, and I mean literally nothing on it previously - I had to update it 4 or 5 times to even function at all right off the bat.

    If it may help any, I have the 360 registered to my account and tried to reset the passcode from there - but the instructions it gave me just don't follow. It tells me to go to System Info and enter in a code, but there is no prompt to input any buttons in the first place in System Info. So I can't reset the passcode in the sense that I'm not even sure I followed the instructions correctly.

    Edit: Also I feel I should mention that the Family Controls aren't even enabled in the first place for them to take effect, which I believe is doubly strange, no?

    Since you have mentioned that you couldn't even reset the passcode, the best option for your case would be to get in touch with the seller and discuss the matter with them because there isn't any way we can access those parameters from our end.
