    GFWL-Unable to Access Purchased Content


    Hello, I have been trying to access my purchased content via the games for windows live application. Upon logging into it I am greeted with a message that states "There was an error retrieving your purchase history. Please sign out and try again later."
    I have talked to Microsoft customer support about this and was told to post here. They had me make sure that the .net framework was installed. Had me log into the Xbox app, and that worked just fine, checked that my software was up to date, etc. But I always
    get this message when trying to use the GFWL program. It also shows that I have zero Gamerscore within the GFWL program, and fails to show my profile picture. Is there a way for me to access my GFWL content that I have purchased in the past?

    Content Corrputed

    Content is not transferable between accounts. If you are unable to access content purchased under a banned account from another account, then it will need to be re-purchased.

    Sorry to hear about any confusion that this may have caused. Unfortunately, if FIFA 16 was purchased under a different account, you will be unable to access the included bonus content. The only account that would be able to access the bonus content would
    be your fathers, since it was purchased under his profile.

    I am currently using Windows 10. I am not in a technical insider program, and I'm not sure what that is. I'm attaching a screenshot of the error that is displayed. Thanks!

    Let's have you first try to sign out of the app and then re-sign in to see if it updates. If that doesn't work go ahead and uninstall the Games for Windows Live program and reinstall it.

    A customer support representative had me do both of those things. I've tried reinstalling it and I've signed in and out many times. The results have been the same each time.

    Okay, thanks for the details. It seems to be working on our end right now so we want to narrow this down to see if there may be another issue at play. Could you try signing into another account on the app to see if your seeing both the Gamertag and Gamerscore?
    Would it be possible to sign into your account on an Xbox console as well? We'd also like to see if you'd be able to try this on another PC, just to see if that helps.

    I'm unable to sign into my account on an Xbox console, as I no longer own one. I am however able to sign into both the xbox app for android and the xbox app for windows 10. Both work fine. I was able to sign into the GFWL program with another account.
    I don't get an error message on that account, but I don't have any Gamerscore or purchases on it. The account has never been used for games. IT didn't give an error message though.

  10. Thanks, that actually helps a bit. Since you're on Windows 10 and you have an account that seems to be working normally, can you try to play a free game like Microsoft Bingo or Solitaire to earn an Achievement on that account, then check back on the Games
    for Windows Live app and see if the Achievement shows up? This will tell us if the account is working properly in the app and it'll let us know which steps to take next.
