GFWL - there was an error retrieving your purchase history. please sign out and try again later.

I have been having this issue with the Games for Windows Marketplace Client the last few months, and tried every fix I've found. Cant download any of my games. Found a thread on here from about a year ago where this was a problem on Xbox side, and was
fixed. Seems to be an issue again. Here's a link to that post stating they fixed this on the server side before. Can someone look into this again, and let us know (and if anyone else is having this issue, please post)

GFWL Client Error - "There was an error retrieving your purchase history"

It's been since early 2018 that we have problems on w7, w8 and w10 with gfwl.

Which means that the problem comes from your server.
Can you fix it because I have games on my gfwl and I wish to play it.Thanks.

Bought game add-on but cannot download via GFWL marketplace!

Ok i bought SSF4 costume pack but when i go to GFWL marketplace it says "There was an error retrieving your purchase history. Please sign out and try again later" If i bought something shouldn't i be able to USE it?

GFWL Error retrieving purchases history

Hi, i tried to play Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection but GFWL can´t connect. Say "Error retrieving purchases history. Please sign out and try again later".

I have visited severals pages and forums but nothing worked.

I contacted the support. He passed the advanced support and I would be contacted on Saturday by phone.

Hello Lukin86

If your talking about the Original Games for Windows Live Platform it was discontinued as of July 1st 2014.

I would definitely say that you would need to contact Support via the phone.

Hi,

Please can you give details of what you are trying to do please. My understanding is that Games For Windows Live was closed in 2014.

The marketplace has closed, but you are/were able to still download your purchases through the desktop client. You can even still redeem GFWL keys if you use the xbox app. Also several of the GFWL game servers were still running (Fable 3 for example).

I think every so often M$ will try to shut it down and see if anyone notices, but they won't keep me from my purchases.
