GFWL requires a serial key again which I have previously activated.

Why in the other games (Mortal Kombat Kollection and FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage) GFWL part of a network, and (Street fighter x tekken) not?

At the moment, only the following games can have their GFWL keys activated on Steam:

Bioshock 2 (gives you the base game + Minerva's Den)

Batman Arkham Asylum (gives you the GOTY edition)

Batman Arkham City (gives you the GOTY edition)

Note that there were some issues with both Batman games where the keys wouldn't work. This has since been corrected and you should restart Steam and then try to redeem the GFWL keys in Steam again.

All other games can't have their GFWL keys redeemed on Steam at this stage. If that changes, there will definitely be much news about it.

Was "Virtua Tennis 4" working before, or this is the first time you are using it?

If you're not able to install Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace, or Microsoft Games for Windows LIVE Redistributable, you may need to look around for a different version of these files. I downloaded and tried so many, I'm not sure which one worked
for me.

As to Windows - LIVE services not working, I've been playing "Viva Pinata" all week and can say the LIVE server is working... at least for this game.

Also if you look on True Achievements for a forum post called "GFWL That Require Product CD Keys - Listed (Games For Windows Live)", you'll note that "Virtua Tennis 4" is listed under "GFWL Titles That Require CD Keys And Can Only Be Used Once".

I think this means either: A: You're reinstalling the game and it is rejecting your serial because you already used it. or B: Someone else has already used your serial.

The code to redeem a game on Steam and activate it on GFWL will actually be different. To view the proper CD Key that you will need to activate the game on GFWL, in the Steam client, go to: Library> Locate the game> Right-click on the game and choose View
CD Key. From there you should be able to copy the key to the clipboard and then paste it in to the proper area when the GFWL client requests it. Let us know if that helps. Thanks!
