    GFWL error retrieving purchase history


    This again: reinstalled Windows 7 last year, reinstalled GFWMarketplace client, couldn't download/install Age of Empires III (message: 'there was an error retrieving your purchase history'). That was a known issue at the time, mentioned on several forum
    threads, which was fixed at some point (was able to install the game). However, the same very, very annoying issue occurred yesterday, after installing Windows on a new SSD.

    Since this is obviously a problem the tech stuff cannot handle (took about 1 year to solve it temporarily last time), can't we just be issued a redeem code or something for a more reliable platform, like Steam, Origin, uPlay, whatever? Other guys in a similar
    situation (GameSpot) did that with a lot of games purchased there. Please, do something, judging by similar posts, it's been 3 years already!

    GFWL Marketplace - An unknown error has occurred when retrieving keys

    First off, I'm jealous - you have ITSP through GFWL. I have the Steam version where GFWL was patched out. GFWL error retrieving purchase history :(

    Is that the only one that's having an issue? Are you getting an error at the top saying there was an error retrieving your purchase history?

    GFWL still doesn't work for me. Get the run around from tech support regarding this issue and nobody I talk to at Microsoft even knows what GFWL is. Funny how paying customers get *** these days. I'm getting the 'Failed to retrieve purchase history....'

    Microsoft seemingly doesn't give a flying *** about anyone who bought anything on GFWL. Ive been through numerous tech support agents and still have no resolution regarding the error retrieving purchase history.

    Still doesn't work, the steps were to no avail. The previous posts in the forums show this broke before, Microsoft fixed it, then let it break again, leading to this most likely being a Microsoft server issue. Can this be fixed, or a refund of the games
    purchased be issued so we can repurchase these from a webstore that will keep our purchases available? I would prefer it be available through the windows wtore in windows 10 like the rest of our purchases.
