    GFWL Client Error - "There was an error retrieving your purchase history"


    Been talking with support on this since September of 2015. Forum agents keep saying it's being looked into, and giving the standard copy paste responses that act like they're going to fix it but aren't doing anything.

    Contacting via phone just gives a run around. Xbox support says I need to contact billing, billing says I need to contact Live support, Live support says I need to contact Windows support and on and on it goes.

    Since it's been months, I am seeking a lawyer to file a class action lawsuit. [Mod Removed - We do not encourage class action suits on our forums.] when I have found a lawyer willing to take the case I will build a website to collect the
    information needed by the lawyer, and email the link to everyone on the list.

    GFWL client, can't retrieve purchase history

    I've tried many times on many systems.

    GFWL client always comes back with "There was an error retrieving your purchase history. Please sign out and try again later"

    Also, I've read posts saying try running in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode (if you are on Win 8 or above), run as Admin, many suggestions... Some work for some people, some unfortunately don't. I haven't used GFWL since I last played DiRT 3 & F1 2011 on it,
    so it's been a while.

    Same here I can't download my Gears of War PC version!!! I bought it in 2011 and it even says it in the games for windows page....but M$$$$$ says "Screw you" we got your money 4 years ago too bad so sad!! Thank you very much!!!!

    BUT HEY YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE ULTIMATE VERSION FOR $45 CAD......Windows 10......so I did!! LOSER ME!!!

    Well I thought I made a post last night and it appears to be gone. But I will say it again. Microsoft this is unacceptable. We are the people who put our hard earned cash into support your company and this is what happens. Its been 2 months and still
    this issue hasn't been fixed. I would suggest moving the platform to the Windows app store so people will be able to download their games into the on going future. Not to say leave Games For Windows Live out of the picture cause not everyone is using Windows
    10 yet but making this step will help us out. I have bought a few games on the platform and one of them is Blaz Blue which is kind of rare considering its the only port that'll allow you to play online. I hope this will get fixed cause this is silly its
    taking this long to solve the problem.
