Getting Xbox startup screen every time I reset or unplug my Xbox

Every time I reset or unplug my Xbox to do anything it brings me to a screen telling me to either “continue”,”reset”,”offline update”,etc, I still don’t know if it’s a hardware issue or an update issue because I get early updates, this problem has made me lost multiple family accounts as well as my alternative account.

Thank you for reaching out to me! I am still having problems with the console going back to this screen whenever I reset the console or unplug it, I’m going to be trying an offline update the next time it does this, thank you for the support<3.

Hello @Xpanda420B!

I believe your console might need just a system refresh. When you are on the troubleshooting page, please select the "Reset this Xbox" option and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps".

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

However, In case the previously mentioned solution wasn't helpful, the next solution would be to perform an offline system update. In the link below you will be directed to everything you need to know about the offline update and how to run it.

Thanks for your response.

Just tried power reset again keeping time gap of 30 mins. XBOX button goes off after few seconds. Then I pressed EJECT button and it started fortunately. Also Xbox screen started (green startup screen) and goes on. So startup screen came up (green XBOX screen).
Then all goes off unfortunately.

Yeah, I tried that, several times.

My most problematic Xbox seems to startup when I keep the power supply disconnected for a very long time, i.e. 3 hours. After which the Xbox is very likely to start.

My other Xbox starts up and shuts down, when I then start it again, it starts normally. But that is then a cold start, so the green Xbox startup screen comes up.

Both are updated and ever since I get this problem.

I see, try the solution below, please.

1. Turn off Xbox One.

2. Unplug power.

3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.

4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).

5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.

6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.

7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.

8. Select Keep games and apps.
