    Getting Twitch App stream to hear someone using windows 10 Xbox companion Apps


    Hi im using windows 10, a friend of mine is streaming on Xbox One through the Twitch app.

    im told to share my audio so the stream can hear my voice chat in the party options. This appears to be an option only on the Xbox, as I cannot find this option on the windows 10 Xbox app or companion app.

    How can I share my audio to their stream?

    We can hear each other, but the stream cannot hear me. ( i should also add, on their side, it says my audio is shared and receiving)

    this might be a particularly small usecase, but Im wondering if there is a way to solve this. There appears to be no way to do this on The windows 10 side of the Xbox companion apps, and while it is a minor inconvenience, it Doesnt help when their stream
    hears a one sided conversation.

    Hi Jos158,

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to answer that.

    Unfortunately you cannot plug in the Xbox One into your laptop and use the laptop as a display. Also there is no app or program that would convert the HDMI port on your laptop to an input source rather than an output source.

    Your only option would be to use the game streaming through the Xbox Console Companion app. I would re over these two support articles on how to improve streaming:

    Support for the Xbox Companion App has been discontinued along with the rest of Windows 8. Since the launch of Windows 10 you've been supposed to use the Xbox app built in for streaming
