    Getting told my gamertag "isn't allowed"


    I'm trying to change my gamertag to olivvysaur and I'm getting the error that "this gamertag isn't allowed". I asked live support chat and they weren't able to tell me anything other than "some gamertags aren't allowed because they're similar
    to offensive words".

    Can anyone tell me why "olivvysaur" might not be allowed on Xbox Live? I haven't had any problems using it as a username in other places.

    If it is not available you will have to pick another one, there's no way around it. As mentioned before, no one here on forums can help you know why it is not allowed.

    Why it is not allowed doesn’t really matter. You will simply have to select something that is allowed.

    Hello, this gamertag is close to an insult in Asia that's why you can't use it. you have to look for another maybe with Numbers.
